Pulled tea

A popular local drink in Malaysia is teh tarik (translation: teh is tea and tarik is pulled). The name reflects how the tea is made. This can sometimes be quite a spectacle, with the hand pouring the hot tea extending high over the maker’s head, while the other hand holding a container to receive the tea is placed as low as possible. As a result, the tea is frothy at the top. It’s very sweet, but delicious.
