A broken leg... and light at the end of this tunnel
I have showered today... don't get me wrong, it doesn't just happen on rare occasions. In fact, it happens too often for my liking. But it is an achievement when I do, which should only take about 4 minutes (or slightly more) for those of you with 2 functional legs. Having only one leg to put my weight on, and having to keep the other leg out of the shower means that I have to be a bit of a contortionist while being cautious (a contortionist being cautious - that's a contradiction, or perhaps not so or he or she might end up in a twisted mess...) at all times so that the good leg remains good. This is kinda important at this stage or there will be a different story altogether. I am not going to go into details on how it all happens in the shower. It's far from elegant... but at the end of it, I feel extremely relieved and happy it's all over. Also possibly a half day have just gone by whist I was in the bathroom.
A test of patience... that's what I'd say God intended for me when I fractured my bone which has resulted in my lower leg being in a cast for weeks (which now feels like a lifetime).
Sigh, another 2 weeks to go and hopefully my cast is replaced by a removable boot (or whatever it's called). There is light at the end of this tunnel. For now, at least I have a window into another world where my broken leg has no part in - hurray for the internet!

Distracted by new artwork, "Well loved"
I'm distracted. I've started learning Flash again. I write "again" because this must be the 5th time I've attempted to learn this program. This time I'm determined that I will do it... but I'm taking a few breaks in between learning. I have been to the cafe and had my wonderful afternoon soy chai with honey, and drew in my sketchbook. I've completed another digital piece on Illustrator, and uploaded the design... Sigh, I write this down also as a commitment that I will eventually learn the program...
Anyway, here is the new artwork titled "Well loved", about an old teddy bear which is still very much loved by it's owner, although it's falling apart and in need of repair. A metaphor if you like... available on card and T-shirt... hope you enjoy this piece.

City of great architecture and motorways
This is a new T-shirt design that I've just uploaded, depicting the city of Kuala Lumpur. It's actually a response to a contest with the theme "Your hometown".
Whist I now live in Melbourne, I have lived in Kuala Lumpur for a number of years. In this illustration, I have depicted it to be a city of fantastic and interesting architecture and loads of motorways. It’s developing so quickly that for me, it’s an ever changing place…
I am also trying out a different illustration style to what I normally use. Hope you like it.

More recent artwork - "Skin Deep"
A few years ago, the focus of my art had been on identity (or the loss of), and social structure. This piece of work is developed based on the above line of inquiry.
I decided to use Japanese patterns on the face, but ended up with 2 versions, see below. I love this new development (of my art) so much that I ordered the T-shirt in red (below left) for myself :).
